Collapsed Heart Autopsy

My Tiefling Baker's Diary

Session 1

To soothe her weary mind, Sophia lay down on the guest table, then regained her composure and played the violin piece she had been practicing. Why can't I bake bread? Sophia had not yet adapted to the environment; everything felt frightening and unfamiliar. Nevertheless, I decided to work hard at making bread and become self-reliant. Life in the convent was orderly and neat. This place is free, yet lonely, and everything moves fast.

The first thing I grabbed after leaving the convent was this violin. Sophia believed that it was her right to learn the violin again, which she had learned in her childhood. Still clumsy, a high-pitched clatter rang out again and again. Nevertheless, this time was precious to Sophia. Time to be true to yourself. I wish bread had that kind of concept for Sophia too.

What the PC learned in Session 1: Make plenty of bread to satisfy the guests. Even if there is still bread left.

What impressed me about the PC in Session 1: a burly, armored man walked into the store and asked why there was no bread. Perhaps hungry, he entered the bakery before he could even take off his helmet. He was a burly and resolute guest.

Number of remaining loaves: none Earnings: 4 CP Status check: The reputation has decreased by 1, so the current bakery's reputation is [2]. Be careful: if your reputation drops to -10, you’ll receive a first warning or, in the second, be kicked out of the city hall.

Session 2

What the PC learned in Session 2: Sophia realized through the previous chapter that she needed to have made a lot of bread to welcome her customers. So even though he had made a lot of bread, only two customers came.

What impressed to PC in Session 2: they tried making 24 trays of bread. Number of breads made: 13 / Sliced bread: 4 / Castella: 4 / Salt bread: 5 Number of remaining breads: there are [3 slices of bread], [3 castella cakes], and [5 salted breads]. Earnings: 4 CP Status check: There are [11] loaves of bread remaining in Session 2. The bread must be discarded after two sessions due to the issue of expiration. (Session 2 Bread Disposal Deadline 0/2

Session 3

Sophia was glad that, despite the hardships, she could share bread with the hungry people. If you were in trouble, could you receive help like this. I help people with that thought in mind. I even wonder if there are people in this big city of West Haven to deserve it. After leaving convent life, my sense of skepticism and despair about the world only grew stronger.

Today's business was busy. Fortunately, I think I was able to get through today because I had made a lot of bread (and because it wasn’t selling). Is business all about luck.. She sat at the guest table, resting her chin on her hand, murmuring softly as she wrote in her diary.

What the PC learned in Session 3: Business is about Luck

What impressed me about the PC in Session 3: → Because there was still a lot of bread left over from Session 2, Sophia started selling only bread, she wasn't making today. Fortunately, many customers came, and quite a bit of bread was sold. The number of guests who came today is [8], and the earnings are [10 CP].

Number of remaining breads: [2 slices of bread], [0 castella cakes], [1 salt bread].
Earnings: 10 CP Status check: There are [3] loaves of bread remaining in Session 3. The bread must be discarded after two sessions due to the issue of expiration. (Bread for Session 2 = 3 left | Disposal deadline 1/2)

Session 4

Sophia sold a lot of bread yesterday, so she plans to make and sell bread today. Since tomorrow is a holiday, I decided to push through and make bread for three trays (24 batches) by the end of the week.

(Session 2 Bread Disposal Deadline 2/2) 'Sophia' tied up the remaining bread and threw it in the trash!

Sophia was incredibly busy today. I had never had such a busy day since I started my business. I want to quit everything, but I have to make money. Leaning over the counter, she pondered seriously and thoughtfully what money really was. Money ultimately gives freedom, and as I thought about why I had to be like this, I started to get angry.

To calm her anger, she made a cold strawberry ade with strawberry puree. I also added mint leaves. I gulped it down in one go. I started craving a beer. A wave of regret about life washed over me. The first thing I did upon arriving at West Haven was go into a pub and order a beer to try. That was the freedom she had tasted for the first time in her life.

Tomorrow is finally a holiday. Get the job done quickly and then have a drink. Sophia thought so.

🍓Things to Do on Your Day Off (Session 5)

Session 5

This is the first holiday I've had since opening the shop. Sophia tossed and turned, then got up to get ready to go outside. She glanced at the baker’s apron hanging on the hanger, then put on her favorite light pink silk dress embroidered with strawberries. Wearing this dress makes me feel confident. As expected, she left the house carrying the family sword she always takes when going to a tavern.

She was drawn by the delicious smell on her way to the grocery store. In front of her is a stall selling sausages. But Sophia hurried out, suppressing her cravings to save money. Sophia finally finished her work after buying eggs, flour, and milk at the grocery store. She headed to the tavern with a light heart. Half of the holiday was already over, but it felt like I had only just begun to enjoy it. When she arrived at the tavern, she opened the door wide.

I saw someone violently straining their neck while swallowing a chicken bone. This is resolved with a powerful backhand smash. Sophia was more flustered than worried when she saw the middle-aged man hero coughing violently. His cough echoes through the tavern, and for a while the interior reveals a serious and solemn worry disguised as silence. After about five seconds, the tavern returned to its original atmosphere. Sophia was strange. If you're going to worry and help that person, then help; if you're not going to care, then don't have any. Is this five-second silence a moment of silence over the chicken bone he swallowed? She smirked and propped her chin up.

The food we ordered has arrived. The duck leg and beer set she ordered looked absolutely delicious! She first took a sip of beer. It was a flavor that naturally drew admiration. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I waited for a holiday just to drink this beer. I removed the paper stopper covering the duck’s hind leg bones and tore the leg open with one hand. It was a real treat as expected! She started eating like crazy, holding a duck leg in one hand and a beer glass in the other. Sophia paid for the food she ate fairly. The tavern owner felt proud!
