[Unicorn Meat] About Unicorn Meat
It seems like it’s about time to get ready to play Unicorn Meat. Before the physical copy was delivered to my home, I received the PDF. I was able to set up an adult PC and a PC for a young girls named ‘Carver Girl.” But then they hit a snag. There was a prompt to create a Carver Girl PC, but for adult PCs, there were only hints here and there—nothing at all.
Nevertheless, I didn’t want to create a PC for a mad young girl living in a cruel environment. First, it wasn’t my playing style; second, I didn’t like the idea of a grotesque, realistic story unfolding in my head. While reading the rulebook, I was able to gain some hints about playing as an adult.
According to the rulebook, the setting is the United States, and it is presented as a southern gothic horror adventure. At this point, I was reminded of Far cry 5. Far cry 5 tells the story of a military unit suppressing a cult in a rural American town.
If there is no possibility of setting up a PC for the adults, then only if playing as a Carver Girl allows you to experience all environments, ally with and clash with NPCs from all factions to escape the farm, it seemed reasonable to set up a PC that can observe the situation as a third party, experience the same environment as reportage, and simultaneously engage in combat and arm itself. I thought that by doing so, even if I played as an adult with no existing settings, I wouldn’t be able to miss any of the game.
The following is my Unicorn Meat Player Character setup.

Her career began in the NYPD Secretariat. Before taking charge of special cases, she worked in the department that searched for missing children. After she joined SWAT and began working as an operator, she recently heard from a former coworker that children were continuously going missing at the amusement park by the New York waterfront where she had worked.
Just then, signs of a missing young girl from New York are detected on the outskirts of a city in the western United States where she works. Maddie Everdine. Her body was found in a roadside ditch in a rural village in the mountainous region. There was a crumpled sheet of paper in her pocket.

Sunny Smiles. When I was a child, I came across a huge news story about corruption and conspiracy in a rural village. According to the central security portal, Sunny Smiles Farm, which had been fallow land 25 years ago, was secretly purchased by the Rochefocauld company, which revived the farm by exploiting government corruption and physical isolation. Unicorn meat was being sold as an extremely luxurious luxury item to ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
I remember wanting to eat unicorn meat when I was a child. There was a time when children who could eat unicorns and young girls who could process unicorn meat. I was naive and envious. To the young girl, unicorn meat was that kind of thing. I wanted to put the juicy chunk of meat on the table and eat it before anyone else in the family.
When i came to senses, fellow soldiers were gripping their firearms with serious expressions, bowing their heads or repeatedly wiping their foreheads. Seeing the car jolt, it seemed we had finally reached the country road. I am participating in this operation as an operator, but I need to inspect the farm with the special forces. That was the task given to me. It felt like it would be a tiring and frightening operation.
The appeal of this game lies in its ability to capture the atmosphere of a horror suspense that blends a brutal fantasy with a fairy-tale feel, reminiscent of the works of the Brothers Grimm and Roald Dahl. I very like this games vibe. However, this can be a trap for the player. As an expression of the unconscious, it is a game that is simply played for enjoyment rather than for the purpose of self-understanding.
If you’d rather unleash violence or want to confirm it, I recommend playing Mörk Borg. Depending on how the player’s subconscious mind operates, this is a game in which you are very likely to become a huge suck jerk.
I wonder how I can play this game safely. I even think that finding a way to play on an adult PC instead of a Carver girl. watching over and rescuing the Carver girls, might be what will protect you. If not, then we must manage factional politics well. If that’s not it, how about trying your hand at being a politician? Politicians who become heroes, either exposing the secrets of great evil or joining forces to eat a chunk of unicorn meat.
